What exactly is Clear Safety Defense?

Clear Safety Defense is an invisible safety laminate film that we install on to your windows and glass doors to avert intruders, making the glass virtually unbreakable.

Is the safety laminate bulletproof?

While not necessarily bulletproof, the safety laminate can withstand winds of 200 mph, debris impacting the glass of 34mph, and has a break strength of 210 pounds per inch. That’s pretty powerful if you ask us!

Does it go on the inside or outside of my windows?

We generally install Clear Safety Defense on the inside of your windows and glass doors. For maximum protection, the safety laminate can also be installed on the outside of the windows, making it twice as strong.

Can I install this myself?

We wouldn’t make you do that. Our installers are trained and certified to install safety laminate film to your glass, so we recommend you let us do all of the hard work.

What is it made out of?

Window safety laminate is a clear or tinted laminate film made from a heavy duty polyester compound.

How much does it cost?

Pricing will depend on the particular areas you’d like to secure- windows, doors, sliding glass doors, mirrors, skylights and more. Our most popular area for homeowners to secure are sliding glass doors, which start at $450. What’s the price for safety for your family?

How long does it take to install?

The length of installation depends on the size of the job. Installation takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days. We will install based on your schedule, and will not interrupt your home or office while at your location.

How long before the glass is protected?

The safety laminate will take about 30 days to cure and adhere to the glass. We recommend not touching the glass until it has been dried, cured and is secure. 

Is there a warranty?

Yes, all of our products come with warranties:

• Residential Warranty: Lifetime Warranty for the original purchaser and owner of the home.
• Commercial Warranty: 15 year Warranty from installation date, protecting against crazing, cracking, demetallizing or adhesive failure.
